Risk Of Diseases Due To Heavy Rain
Western province has been affected badly due to the continuation
of heavy rain and wind storms,
Intensity of Rain fall and run off water was so high and could not be absorb by the drainage and underwater systems in the western province.
Director of Epidemiology unit Dr. Paba Palihawadana stated that their could be a rise of diseases with the current situation. She requested the public to drink boil water to avoid such conditions.
Further commenting on the issue, she appealed the public to concentrate on a cleaner environment to stop the risk of mosquito infections.
