in the past month at Gampaha.He reveals that flood situation occurs twice a year and Gamapaha have been protected during early days due to traditional cultivation methods.
He further requests that stake holders must look forward to prevent such disasters in future. Gampaha district was devastated due to the recent floods and this area was exploited for huge development projects in the recent past. Many people’s views were that degrading lower lands in the area caused sever floods in urban areas
