Celebrating 30 years the Central Environment Authority of Sri Lanka
organized an Environmental forum on Greening the Economy yesterday,
Speaking at the forum chairman of Central Environment Authority stated that we are now using new avenues with the private sector for a green economy. Prof. Mohan Munasinghe and Dr. Hans Wijesooriya were able to share their views at the forum. Speaking at the event green economic approach is a part of integrated solutions for global warming. In his speech he further emphasized the importance of Green Economy with the help of civil organizations and private sector as 2 billion people are living with poverty worldwide. Meanwhile Dr.Hans wijesooriya stated that renewable energy sources will be brought in future with the guidance of Central Environment Authority.
