Green Collar Jobs And Employment
A recent seminar highlighting the demand for green collar jobs and green economy was organized by National Youth Service Council with the local office of International Labor Organization recently.
During the seminar it was noted that 18.4% aged between 15 and 24 years are unemployed in the country and 19% overall are seeking for employment in Sri Lanka. The seminar named Young voices of Sri Lanka raised the issue on how the demand for green collar jobs could decrease the rate of unemployment in Sri Lanka.
