Fire In Peak Wilderness Sanctuary

It is reported that a fire erupted in Peak Wilderness today. This forest fire occurred in the area Nallatanti area.

According to reports the Divisional secretary of Nuwaraeliya District has requested the support of Sri-Lanka Air Force to douse the fire. Peak Wilderness sanctuary is a tropical rain forest that spreads over a land of 224 square kilometers around the Adams Peak Mountain.
