Future Of Young People Is A Decisive Matter At COP 21
The young people were attending the UN climate change conference, COP 21 demanding that world leaders sign on to an ambitious agreement to tackle climate issues. Today’s event was participated by youth leaders coming from risk areas due to the impacts of climate change.The event was inaugurated by UNFCCC General Secretary Ms. Christiana Figueres together with Ahmed Alhendawi Secretary Generals Envoy Youth. Speaking at the event Chritiana Figueres stated that this year will reach an agreement and no need any transformations sooner which are driven with political will.
Speaking at the event Ahmed Alhendawi praised all youth leaders for organizing COY 11 successfully and said young leaders will put this planet on sustainability and its achievable. Young leaders also organized COY 11 previously before COP 21. Climate communication, civic crowd funding, the function of INDCs – these were only some of the core topics and hard skills behind effective climate action that were offered during the 11th Conference of Youth (COY), the latest gathering of youth that precedes the annual UN conference on climate change. This year’s conference was about optimism, hope and friendship but also very much about the real impact young people can make with the right approach, training and knowledge.
