Yala National Park Gets Highest Income During 2017


Ministry of Wildlife and Sustainable Development says that 700.58 million earned during 2017. It was also recorded that highest number of visitors in the park in the same year.  3, 97, 122 persons visited the park which includes 189,195 foreign tourists. 

According to sources Udawalawe national park earned 358.44 million with 236,867 visitors while Horton plains national park earned 361.09 million with 345,480 tourists during 2017. 1,635,467 tourists totally visited all national parks in Sri Lanka with Rs.2.04 billion rupees revenue in the country.
