Flash Floods In South India Kills 27, 20,000 Displaced

According to reports 27 people killed, 20.000 displaced due to flash floods in South Indian State of Kerala.

“Twenty-four dams have been opened so far, which is unprecedented and is telling of the seriousness of the situation,” Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan wote on Twitter. Meanwhile US travel alert lifted in the state of Kerala advising its citizens to stay away from tourists hot spot. Nationwide, more than 700 people have been killed in monsoon flooding. Last year 1,200 people perished in India due to monsoons.
