Sri Lanka To Ban Animal Sacrifices
A cabinet proposal was presented to ban animal sacrifices at the places of Hindu religious worship.
Minister of Resettlement, Rehabilitation, Northern Development and Hindu Religious Affairs D.M. Swaminathan presented it to the Cabinet. Previously many incidents took place in Sri Lankan Hindu kovils where massive public protests have taken place against animal sacrifices.
