6.8 Magnitude Earthquake Struck Off Japan

According to Japan Meteorological Agency 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck in Northwestern Japan. The tremor hit six miles below the surface 30miles away from Sakata city. Sakata city is 200miles away Tokyo. There were no reports of casualties or damages.

According to report train lines in main cities suspended and there have been reports of loss of electricity in some areas of Japan. Tsunami warnings was issued for Yamagata, Nilgata and Ishikawa cities in Japan.
