Minister Urges To Declare Climate Emergency
Minister for Megapolis and Western Development Patali Champika Ranawaka urge the cabinet to declare climate emergency.
He further stated the request was done due to the failure of the monsoon rain and there is a possibility of scarcity of water drinking, agriculture and power generation. Minister Ranawaka stated the country should brace for such events by taking adequate measures to highlighting the importance of climate independence promoted by United Nations.
