Teams Deploy To Protect Visiting Seal In West Coast
According to wild life department SL Navy, Coast Conservation Department, Wild life veterinary officers and wild life western region officers deploy to protect the seal in western coastal belt. Seal is currently resting in areas of bambalapitiya railway station and officials turned back the seal from entering to railway line.According to visitors the seal returns to the sea at night but returns for bouts of sunbathing during the day.These seals which are marine mammals are found in all climates, in both the northern and southern hemispheres and in the ocean.
