Sri Lanka Black Panther Rediscovered
Wild life department today discovered a black panther which was believed to be extinct in Sri Lanka. Out of the eight species of panthers living in the world, this sub species Sri Lankan panther was believed to be extinct in Sri Lanka.The species have gained its unique characters due to colour mutation. The species was able to identified during an island wide survey of leopards taking place in Sri Lanka.
