Research Finds Earliest Bow And Arrow Use In Sri Lanka

According to reports oldest known evidence of bow and arrow use discovered outside of Africa in the tropical regions of Sri Lanka. According to research the discovery goes back 48,000 years of early human cultural development.

Researchers believed that the findings suggest human settlements seated in Indian Sub continent.  The island is known to remain a hot spot for homogenize fossils in South Asia. The research also proves that ancient homosapiens used the tropical rain forest environments outside of Africa.  The study was conducted by department of Archaeology with researchers from Max Planck institute for the science of Human History in Germany, Griffith University in Australia and Sri Lanka Department of Archaeology.
