More Power Cuts In Future

Despite going for emergency power from Independent Power Producers, power shedding would go on for long periods, a senior Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) official said.
Some engineers say it would go on for more than a year while others say Power cuts would go on for more than seven months.
“The situation at the Samanala Wewa is disastrous, it rains don’t come as expected by May, Southern part of the country would experience total blackouts,” a senior engineer warned
