CBSL Launched Program With IFC To Financially Help Environmentally Friendly Projects

Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) recently launched a program/guideline to support the environmentally friendly projects/investors in cooperation with International Finance Cooperation (IFC) at Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The program targeting to reach internationally determined climate goals. It will help companies, investors to transform their projects /tasks into more climate resilient phenomena and engage in environmentally friendly activities.
Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, the governor of Central Bank, who participated in to the event said that Central Bank of Sri Lanka committing to create more sustainable and climate friendly finance system in Sri Lanka.
Lisa Kaestner, the country manager for IFC in Sri Lanka said that despite the current economic challenges ,it`s important for Sri Lanka to transform the Sri Lankan economy to climate friendly one.
