Leopard Cub Dies In Nawalapitiya

2 year leopard cub died yesterday after being ensnared. Wildlife Officers said the incident was reported from Nidlands section of West Hall Estate in Nawalapitiya. The snare had been laid to trap animals roaming in the estate.
The remains of the leopard cub were handed over to the Veterinary Hospital of Randenigama for a post-mortem. Wildlife Officers visited the scene after being notified by a group of estate workers. Submissions were made in the Nawalapitiya Magistrate’s Court as well.
