Fire Station: Artist in Residence and Qatar Red Crescent have joined forces to unveil the “Humanity First” competition, a platform designed to underscore the significance of humanitarian work. The competition is open to the public and will run from 19 August to 19 September 2023.

The “Humanity First” competition seeks to recognise the often overlooked endeavours of individuals who engage in humanitarian work, highlighting their unwavering commitment to selflessly serving humanity. The collaboration between Fire Station: Artist in Residence and Qatar Red Crescent reflects their shared commitment to cultivating a spirit of empathy and social responsibility within the community.

Khalifa Ahmad Al Obaidli, Director of Fire Station, expressed, “We are proud to announce our collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent, as we intertwine the universal language of art with the noble pursuits of humanitarian initiatives. Just as art transcends barriers and evokes emotions, much like humanitarian efforts that bridge divides and provide solace, this competition stands as a powerful testament to the transformative potential of art. It is a platform that champions social responsibility and compassion, embodying the shared values at the heart of our partnership”.

Participants are invited to submit personal artworks and art projects that promote the realm of humanitarian work. Submissions will be evaluated on their ability to capture the profound human essence within the artwork, their skillful representation of humanitarian efforts, their alignment with the messaging of Qatar Red Crescent, and their embodiment of the motto: “Saving Lives and Preserving Dignity.”  Financial prizes provided by Qatar Red Crescent will be awarded to the top three winners; first-place winner will receive QR 3,000, second-place winner will receive QR 2,500, and third-place winner will receive QR 2,000. Additionally, all participants will receive certificates of participation and appreciation from Qatar Red Crescent.

The competition conditions and guidelines are as follows:

• The competition is open to individuals aged 18 and above.
• Artwork dimensions should fall within the range of no less than 50 cm x 70 cm and no more than 120 cm x 120 cm.
• Participants have the freedom to select colours and materials.
• The artwork should vividly express the theme of the competition (humanitarian values) and encompass the seven Fundamental Principles of Qatar Red Crescent: humanity, impartiality, unity, independence, universality, neutrality, and voluntary service.
• In case the artwork features Qatar Red Crescent’s logo or other attributions, they should remain the same with no alteration.
• All submitted artworks will become the property of Qatar Red Crescent, granting the organisation the right to utilise them in its publications available on Qatar RedCrescent’s and Fire Station’s websites.
• The participation form must be securely affixed to the artwork (the form will be provided upon artwork submission).
• Participants must assert that the submitted work is entirely their own creation. Therefore, the work cannot be transferred or quoted without proper authorisation, and the participants bear full legal responsibility if the validity of this assertion is proven otherwise.
• The assessment process is overseen by a specialised technical committee, responsible for evaluating the artworks and selecting the winners.

Hussein Aman Al-Ali,  Director of Volunteering and Local Development Division at Qatar Red Crescent, stated, “It is our pleasure to work with Fire Station: Artist in Residence on this art competition, which combines artistic talent with a sense of humanitarian compassion. Partnership is a cornerstone of our humanitarian and community development efforts, both locally and internationally. Together with Fire Station, we can further promote a culture of humanitarianism and volunteerism among the youth, the future leaders of Qatar’s humanitarian and community service sector”.

Fire Station: Artist in Residence is an integral component of Qatar Museums’ Creative Hub, which undertakes and backs initiatives aiming to establish a robust and enduring cultural foundation. By means of exhibitions, workshops, and cultural undertakings, Fire Station endeavours to cultivate a lively art environment, while evoking constructive transformation within the community. يتعاونان لإطلاق مسابقة “الإنسانية أولًا”

المسابقة تمثل تلاقيًا بين الفن والرحمة لدفع عجلة التغيير

الدوحة، 22 أغسطس 2023 –تضافرت جهود مطافئ:‏‎ ‎مقر الفنانين مع الهلال الأحمر القطري للكشف عن مسابقة “الإنسانية أولًا”، وهي منصة مصممة للتأكيد على أهمية العمل الخيري. المسابقة مفتوحة للجمهور وتستمر من 19 أغسطس إلى 19 سبتمبر 2023.

تهدف مسابقة “الإنسانية أولًا” إلى التعرف على جهود المشاركين في العمل الإنساني والخيري، والتي لا ينتبه لها الكثيرون، وأيضًا تسليط الضوء على التزامهم الراسخ بخدمة الإنسانية بإيثار. يعكس التعاون بين مطافئ: مقر الفنانين ‏ والهلال الأحمر القطري التزامهما المشترك بغرس روح التعاطف والمسؤولية الاجتماعية بين أفراد المجتمع.

من جانبه، قال خليفة أحمد العبيدلي، مدير مطافئ: مقر الفنانين‏: “فخورون بالإعلان عن تعاوننا مع الهلال الأحمر القطري، حيث ندمج لغة الفن العالمية مع المساعي النبيلة للمبادرات الإنسانية. مثلما يتجاوز الفن الحواجز ويستحضر العواطف، تقوم الجهود الإنسانية برأب الصدوع وتقديم الدعم والتعاطف، تقف هذه المسابقة كشهادة قوية على إمكانات الفن على أرض الواقع باعتباره منصة تدافع عن المسؤولية الاجتماعية والتراحم، وتجسد القيم المتأصلة في صميم شراكتنا “.

تدعو المسابقة المشاركين لتقديم أعمال أو مشاريع فنية شخصية تدعم مجال العمل الإنساني. وسيتم تقييم المشاركات بناءً على نجاح العمل الفني في التعبير عن الجوهر الإنساني العميق، وتمثيله البارع للجهود الإنسانية، وتوافقه مع رسائل الهلال الأحمر القطري، وتجسيده لشعار: “نفوس آمنة.. وكرامة مصونة”. سيتم منح الجوائز المالية التي يقدمها الهلال الأحمر القطري للفائزين الثلاثة الأوائل؛ حيث سيحصل الفائز بالمركز الأول على 3000 ريال قطري، وسيحصل الفائز بالمركز الثاني على 2500 ريال قطري، والفائز بالمركز الثالث 2000 ريال قطري. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، سيحصل جميع المشاركين على شهادات مشاركة وتقدير من الهلال الأحمر القطري.

شروط وإرشادات المسابقة:

• المسابقة مفتوحة للأفراد الذين تبلغ أعمارهم 18 عامًا فما فوق.
• يجب ألا تقل أبعاد الأعمال الفنية عن 50 سم × 70 سم ولا تزيد عن 120 سم × 120 سم.
• للمشاركين حرية اختيار الألوان والمواد.
• يجب أن يعبر العمل الفني بوضوح عن موضوع المسابقة (القيم الإنسانية) وأن يشمل المبادئ الأساسية السبعة للهلال الأحمر القطري: الإنسانية، وعدم التحيز، والوحدة، والاستقلال، والعالمية، والحياد، والخدمة التطوعية.
• في حالة احتواء العمل الفني على شعار الهلال الأحمر القطري أو أي إشارات أخرى له، يجب أن تظل كما هي دون تغيير.
• ستصبح جميع الأعمال الفنية المقدمة ملكًا للهلال الأحمر القطري، مما يمنح المؤسسة الحق في استخدامها في منشوراتها المتاحة على مواقع الهلال الأحمر القطري ومطافئ: مقر الفنانين.
• يجب أن يتم لصق نموذج المشاركة جيدًا على العمل الفني (سيتم تقديم النموذج عند تقديم العمل الفني).
• يجب على المشاركين التأكيد على أن العمل المقدم هو من صنعهم بالكامل. لذلك، لا يمكن نقل العمل أو اقتباسه دون إذن مناسب، ويتحمل المشاركون المسؤولية القانونية الكاملة إذا ثبت عدم صحة هذا التأكيد.
• يتم الإشراف على عملية التقييم من قبل لجنة فنية متخصصة تتولى تقييم الأعمال الفنية واختيار الفائزين.

وقال السيد حسين أمان العلي، مدير شعبة التطوع والتنمية المحلية في الهلال الأحمر القطري: “يسعدنا العمل مع مطافئ: مقر الفنانين في هذه المسابقة الفنية التي تجمع بين الموهبة الفنية ومشاعر التعاطف الإنساني. تمثل الشراكة حجر الزاوية في جهودنا الإنسانية والتنمية المجتمعية، محليًا وعالميًا. وجنبًا إلى جنب مع مطافئ، يمكننا نشر ثقافة العمل الخيري وتشجيع التطوع بين الشباب، قادة مجال خدمات العمل الإنساني والمجتمعي في قطر في المستقبل “.

مطافئ: مقر الفنانين ‏ هو جزء لا يتجزأ من المركز الإبداعي لمتاحف قطر، والذي يتولى ويدعم المبادرات التي تهدف إلى إنشاء بنية ثقافية قوية ودائمة. من خلال المعارض وورشات العمل والمشاريع الثقافية، يسعى مطافئ‏ إلى تنمية بيئة فنية مفعمة بالحيوية، مع إثارة التحول البناء داخل المجتمع. يتماشى التعاون مع الهلال الأحمر القطري في مسابقة “الإنسانية أولًا” بشكل طبيعي مع تفاني مطافئ في دفع مبادرات التوعية الاجتماعية.
