According to reports no. of tiger population

has increased in India,

This was revealed today by an Indian Government report which was released by Sri Jagdish Kishwan, Additional Director General (Wildlife), Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government at an event held by National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) at WWF-India in New Delhi.  According to report 20% of tiger population has increased with an estimated population of 1706 individual tigers.
