Priority Bus Lanes To Ease Traffic Congestion In The Streets Of Colombo
Megapolis and western development ministry introduced priority bus lanes to ease traffic congestion recently.
The proposed bus lanes commenced recently during morning hours in the western province from Moratuwa – Kurusa junction to Katubedda and from Savoy Cinema Junction at Wellawatta to Bambalapitya Junction. The inauguration ceremony was held recently at Moratuwa Kurusa Junction with the participation of Megapolis and Western Development Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka. Ministry of Megapolis and Western development insists to commence Priority Bus lanes from Polduwa Junction to Borella Ayurveda junction,Town Hall to Thummulla Junction, Technical junction to Colombo fort, Colombo Fort to Slave Island, Slave Island to Colombo fort and from Borella to Maradana in near future.
