Sri Lanka Next Blue- Green Era was held for the 4th consecutive year in BMICH premises Colombo, Sri Lanka recently. The event was graced by the speaker of parliament Karu Jayasuriya. Speaking at the event speaker of the parliament stated that Sri Lanka has committed to align the nation with appropriate climate change adaptation and mitigation measures while contributing to neutralise global carbon emission budget.
This year the international conference was held under the theme Nitorgen for life.The event was followed by an intellectual discussion and an environment exhibition. Sri Lanka is an island nation which ratified the Paris agreement. Speaker of the parliament further stated that it is indeed to remind ourselves of our shared responsibility and convince ourselves to think globally and locally. Speaker highlighted that the saying is a reality everywhere visible today across science, policy and political sectors.“A reality, which is applicable to social, economic, environment and spiritual dimensions we all indulge in,” he added.
