WHO To Provide 20% Requirement Of Covid 19 Vaccine To SL
World Health Organization (WHO) recently pledged to provide 20% requirement of Covid-19 vaccine to Sri Lanka once developed.
Discussion took place in between health ministry and WHO team in Sri Lanka recently and the ministry will appoint a technical team to identify priority groups to use the proposed vaccine. Further to the discussion WHO stated that Sri Lanka has formally requested this quota from WHO. WHO will decide whether to provide the vaccine free or not depending on the income category of Sri Lanka.
