175 People Killed Due To Floods In China

175 people have been killed so far due to the floods caused by heavy rains in southern and central parts of China; leaving 107 people missing. 

Population of 1.7 million have been evacuated from affected areas so far,

1, 78,000 houses have been destroyed and 68,000 houses have been damaged partially.   

 

Relief centers have been set up in the area while the government of China has taken steps to set up temporary shelters in the region.  Scientists have predicted more rain in the region in the next few days.
