Largest Pangolin In Sri Lanka Found

Giant Pangolin is the largest ever pangolin living in the world. But the researchers in Sri Lanka recently found the largest ever recorded pangolin ever in the world from the coast of Mannar, Sri Lanka.

Pangolin is an endangered species and been named in the red list of IUCN previously. The observations of the largest pangolin started in 2014 while studying the behaviour patterns and living conditions of the species. Pangolins live in wild life reserves of Yala, Wilpattu and Yagirala forest in Kalutara district. Dr. Priyan Perera; Senior Lecturer, Department of Forestry and Environmental Science of University Sri Jayawardenapura carried out the research
