COVID-19 Deaths Exceed 1 Million Worldwide
The death toll from the coronavirus pandemic, which was declared just over six months ago, surpassed 1 million Monday, according to data compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.JHU’s COVID-19 dashboard recorded 1,000,555 deaths just before 8:30 p.m. Monday. More than 205,000 of those deaths came from the United States. More than 33 million COVID-19 cases have been detected since word of the novel virus spread early this year, including more than 205,000 deaths in the United States.
