Total Covid-19 Cases Surpass 7,000 With 256 More Positive Cases
A total of 256 more COVID-19 patients were reported increasing the total number of cases reported today to 865 and surpassing the total confirmed positive cases 7,000 mark.
According to the Government Information Department said with the latest 256 patients, the total cases from the Minuwangoda cluster increased to 3,682.
Out of the cases reported today, a majority of 535 patients were reported from the Peliyagoda Fish Market. In addition, five persons tested positive from Galle Fisheries Harbour, 20 from Beruwala Fisheries Harbour and 257 other close contacts.
Meanwhile, 48 persons undergoing quarantine also tested positive. Accordingly, the total number confirmed Covid-19 cases reported in Sri Lanka climbed to 7,153. The number of patients recovered from COVID-19 increased to 3,644 with 83 recoveries reported today
