Nano Science Park In SL
The First Nano science park will be established in Homagama,
Colombo District in 2012,
This was revealed at a seminar organized by Practical Action recently. Speaking at the seminar Dr.Ajith De Alwis said that the opening of the park will benefit the industrial sector in Sri Lanka. The regulation mechanism of the Nano Science park is implemented with the help of the Governments of India, Pakistan and Canada. The workshop also emphasized about the services of www.janathakshan.net web site which was launched recently by Practical Action. Speaking at the event Ms.Vishaka Hidellage Director of Practical Action explained on how the rural community can be empowered for sustainable development using the information of the web site.
