Purple Leaf Faced Monkeys In Danger
The purple leaf faced monkey, a species endemic to Sri Lanka is high in the
list of endangered species. Local researchers have for sometime being
exploring ways and means to conserve the purple leaf faced monkey.
A seminar was held in Colombo on the 10th of September 2009 by the Wild life
and Nature Protection Society to promote awareness on this species as well
as to promote conservation efforts.
