Gazette Notification Issued For Oil Exploration

The Petroleum Development Authority of Sri Lanka (PDASL) would recommence work on the exploration of assets in about 900 blocks identified around the country with suitable investors, the Power and Energy Ministry said.
Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera issued an extraordinary Gazette notification (2313/47) in this regard today.
“The Ministry had signed the regulations finalizing the Legal Framework for Offshore Oil and Gas Exploration Investments in Sri Lanka,” it said.
