Sri Lanka Nature Forum appealed

against the constructions of the hotels

taking place inside Somawathiya and Minneriya National parks.

According to Sri Lanka Nature Forum hotel inside Minneriya National park have been constructed along the area of Mahasengama depleting 2km road inside the park.

Organization further states that Somawathiya National Park also faces the same situation due to the construction of roads and Hotels in an area which devastated by sand mining. Organization further claims that precautions must be taken by the Wild Life Department against these constructions along rich Eco systems.
