According to reports Over 300,000 people have been affected due to heavy rain which continued in many parts of the country during the past few days.

According to the DMC, seven people had died and three others were also missing and floods and landslides affected some areas. It said that showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces. Heavy rain falls (more than 100mm) are also expected at some places.
