Strong Winds Expected
Fairly strong winds can be expected over the country from today including the surrounding sea areas. Met department states that Northern, North- Central, North Western provinces could experience light showers.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva Province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts after 2.00 p.m. Fairly strong gusty winds (40-50 kmph) can be expected over Northern Province of the island.
