The 13-hour powercut which has been proposed by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) for today (31) and t was approved by the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) yesterday.
Accordingly, power shedding will be imposed in the areas A, B, C, D, E and F for three hours from 3.00 am to 6.00 am. Four hours from 12.00 pm to 4.00 pm and another six hours from 6.00 pm to 12.00 am.
Power outages will last three hours from 12.00 midnight to 3.00 am, four hours from 8.00 am to 12.00 moon and six hours from 4.00 pm to 10.00 pm in areas G, H, I, J, K, and l.
Power outages will last three hours from 3.00 am to 6.00 am, four hours from 12.00 noon to 4.00 pm and six hours from 6.00 pm to 12.00 midnight in areas that come under P, Q, R, and S.
Power outages will last three hours from 12.00 midnight to 3.00 am, four hours from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon, and six hours from 4.00 pm to 10.00 pm in the areas categorised under T, U, V, and W.
Meanwhile, 3½ hour power cut from 5.30 am to 9.00 am, and another two hours from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm will affect the areas designated under M, N, O, X, Y and Z.
